You can fit it onto your car to spray your intercooler, though it will be a manual system and not as effective as a full auto system (JDM cars).
Most people think its a waste of time though and not worth the effort.
Oh I should mention that if you have a classic with ABS then your pretty screwed as thats where the reservoir normally goes (one of the reasons you dont get classics with ic spray and abs )

not if u have it set at a higher boost so when u hit about 12-14 psi etc the waterspray will kick in and if anyone is a sensible driver they wont be driving about like a nut just so the waterspray will kick in.

The auto ones on subaru's are controlled by more than just boost, boost means sweet fa, if your sitting in traffic and move off then you want to have it spray, now your not getting that because it doesnt read the temps, so its not doing its job, its just useless and your still suffering soak.
Basically unless its a "proper" set up controlled as per how subaru wanted it, its not worth fitting

have it so u can use it manually push it when u want, also having it come on at a psi boost setting and cant go wrong, you'll know when your car is too warm and needs a squirt dont need not temp sensor. i have custom one installed on my wrx and works a gift

Hot day, 200 mile drive, 12 ltr water tank (full) in the boot, i/c set on auto (a proper subaru one which goes off the inlet temps so it acutally does what its suppose to and not just squirt water on the intercooler for the hell of it ) not ragging the car but still travelling nicely at 80mph on the motorway, reach destination, most of the water tank later (yes it used that much ) now do you see why going off the boost is a waste of space? because it doesnt mean squat, its the inlet temps you have to reduce

Do it properly and do it once. Fit an efficient Hybrid front mount and your concerns about air charge temperatures are over.
I fitted an STi 8 TMIC to my STi 3 Wagon because everyone was saying how good they were. It was a far bigger fitting job to get it to fit properly than I anticipated and an FMIC could be fitted in half the time. The results were disappointing until I fitted the STi 8 scoop AND undertray. I was not particularly impressed and some months later decided to fit an FMIC but first did a couple of back to back rolling road runs. With the STi 8 TMIC, 392 bhp. Hybrid GT kit fitted and no other alterations whatsoever. 401 bhp. After mapping this resulted in 409 bhp.
Air charge temperatures are no longer a concern and the power increase represents good value for money.
The car is fitted with an ACT guage and a fair bit of effort was made to collect accurate data.
