Default Looking For A Big Power Scoob

Im on the look out for some speed back. I used to own a JDM 355BHP. Sold it for an M3. The M3 is nice but not much fun and not as fast. I have looked at a EVO. There is one still being built that will end up with around 460bhp. It wont be ready for another few weeks, so i thought i would have a look to see what big power scoobs are around. In all fairness there dont seem to be many. I have a budget of around 16000 so would like any suggestion's if anyone kows of a good one. Cheers

Don't seem to be many because once people build them, they keep them!

A 600bhp Skyline is the equivelent of a 400bhp Scooby.

Don't forget Skylines are heavy and big but they certainly look the part.

The R34 GTR has the DETT system. Basically its rear wheel drive the majority of the time but when the rear wheels lose traction it can send upto 50% of power to the front. So it is still 4wd but only when needed

ha ha ha mate dont make me laugh,my skyline was pushing 480bhp my mate had a 360bhp scooby full set up and looked after by roger clarke motorsport who race scoobys, not being funny with impreza owners as im one,but the impreza has no chance on a skyline mate, obviously depends on driver etc.my mate also had an evo8 fq360 and that didnt even stand a chance.i have got proof on vid that the scooby had no hope in hell

Why do you want such big numbers???

A car with sorted suspension, brake's and a bit of weight loss with a lot less bhp can be quiker depending what you use it for, look at the Exige, atom etc.

Funny that as my old 450bhp UK classic wiped the floor with a 600bhp R34 GTR.

What are you basing your facts on? Ever heard of power to weight ratio?

Anyone who knows their stuff will back up what I've stated.

Incedently how are the skylines doing against the Scoobies in Time Attack??

ps here's a picture of my V3 Type R I'm building which will be circa 600bhp when its finished and there's no question that 600bhp Skylines will be getting anywhere near me!!
Who are this Roger Clark outfit? Never heard of them.

You're right Banny it does need them. Its a bloody minefield with the V3 though as its different to every other model so its not a case of just bolting an aftermarket kit on

What are you expecting to get for £16k though?

Car Impreza type, engine type, power and other facilities, mods etc?

Have to agree with DazDavies, a well sorted lighter Impreza will easily be a match for a heavier all be it more powerful R33/34 on a track. Last year at Silverstone triple club trackday our 3 MSOC std (at the time) Spec C's went round loads of Skylines easily. Only down hangar straight did they catch up or go past, but at the first right hander or following we'd go past, as they had to brake 10 mins before us!!

Just had a look at your beast. That will do. To be honest there is a 370bhp 2007 on piston heads, low milage wich looks nice. Does not have to many toys though. Ideally i still need to take the family out at the weekend, so roll cages and all that are out. Just need to try and get a happy medium.
