Question DUMP VALVE PROBLEM PLEASE ADVISE ASAP

Hi folks,may sound daft but im asking anyway
washed car earlier engine bay also,then went out and found that my bailey single port dump valve has stuck and is not giving the whooooshhhhh noise as they do,im not bothered about having the noise but im worried if its stuck will it damage anything?
ive took the tiny pipe off the top and that is sucking air in{is that correct}
ive took the dump valve out of the silicone hose and it seems to be free,
can i still use the car?
do i need a new one?
can i check anything?
REPLIES NEEDED ASAP AS NEED TO USE CAR ASAP AND DONT WANT TO RISK DOING ANY DAMAGE.

If you aren't bothered about the noise and REALLY don't want to risk any damage, refit the original recirculating valve. Then come on here and tell us all about how much better your car is running

Always best, but your choice.

If it's not venting there's a potential for overboost. If it's leaking then you'll have reduced boost. Drive it steady under boost and it should be OK.

Not my subject I'm afraid. I just leave the OE one on and everything is fine. Someone who's tinkered with these things will help shortly.
