Default what power from this>?

just found out my subaru 1995 uk turbo is fitted with a standard td05 turbo from andy f .

I thought the standard turbo for this car was the td04 can anyone verify?

what bhp would i be looking at if i added front sports cat downpipe and centre decat with a panel filter and my td05

and oviously either a fc commander or simtec remap

is the td05 a good turbo? im not looking for mega power 270-280 would be ideal

any info would be great

i have a graph for the car showing 218bhp with simular tourqe but that was before the engine rebuild so im guessing it was on a td04 as it was standard before it was changed? and now a different turbo the td05 is fitted car has done 30k on new internals aswell

any feedback appreciated

or am i better off looking into a vf34/ vf35 for the future

TD05 is standard for your car. It's good for 340-350bhp with the right mods.
A cheaper option ecu wise would be the ESL Live, fitted/mapped for £500+vat. With the mentioned mods, will see you 280-290bhp. A set of 440cc injectors and later map sensor will get you 300-320bhp.

The tdo4 was standard on your car being a uk the td05 must of been added
being pre 96 car u can get a polar performance chip about £200
Apexi pfc £400 - £600 + mapping
full deact would free up the horses along with oem ported headers
also uprated fuel pump would be on my list
your standard 380cc injectors are fine for the power u want and i've seen 380cc injectors reach 320bhp prob not reccomended or last long but not the power ur going for

Not true, my old UK 95 turbo had a TD05 as standard.
The Polar chip's are good, but you'll be chopping it in before long in the search for more power! I did this, cost £125 new.

I've yet 2 see a td05 on a uk turbo as standard , did u have your car from new as i'm sure that they were all td04 and people changed em for an upgrade
would agree with the chip and wanting to upgrade but it all depends on budget

The pre 97 uk cars came with a TD05 except the wagons which still had a TD04

It's on UK cars too. My UK 95 was standard, untouched with a TD05.

that's so incorrect!
all pre face lift uk turbos were fitted with a tdo5 turbo irrespective of what "the internet" experts think,
all pre face lift import saloons wrx/sti were fitted with a tdo5 as standard,
all pre facelift wagon wrx`s were fitted with tdo4 turbo! WITH THE EXCEPTION OF PRE FACELIFT STI WAGONS WHICH WERE FITTED WITH A TDO5!

I had the very 1st Uk 2000 AWD Turbo 1994 of Year, This came as standard with a TD05 Turbo as did all the others upto 1997 as stated above. Wagons were td04 for better spool up, Re. Towing Etc.

Uk cars fitted with a TD05 were at a different state of tune compared to the Import TD05 Subaru's

And here She is, the very car

Pre 97 wagons didnt have a TD04, they came with a TD05 along with pre 97 model UK cars
Dont get confused with the fact that WRX wagons came with the TD04 that UK ones (early models) had the same, they didnt

So to reiterate, MY94-96 UK turbo's ALL had TD05's as standard
