Default Warning Extreme Scoobies!

Right i am really pissed off 1st of all i went to collect my drivers side rear arm link for my bugeye 52 pate import (£200) from extreme scoobies from boreham chelmsford Essex when i got there straight away the guy (knowlesy) had a attitude kept going off on one when i was asking him question about my scooby saying i was stupid ect like he could no be botherd we me felt like wrapping the arm link around his head!

to top it off i went to get the part fitted the other day and its the wrong one! even though before i brought the part i asked knowlesy to check it was the right one

Rang him up today to ask for my money back and he could not even do that! because it was a special delivery from japan,

just thought i warn you about the troubble i had with extreme scoobies

so i am now left with a left rear arm link for sale its on ebay

That sucks ***** really doesn't it. Never heard of them so that's a bad sign for starters.
I would have thought that your rights as a consumer meant that because it's the wrong part they would legally have to take it back and give you a full refund or the correct part you ordered. If it doesn't sell on eBay maybe give citizens advice a call. This site has some info on our rights (not the best site);

Having delt with Xtreme's a number of times it comes as a bit of a surprise to hear about the service you recieved. Without knowing what the questions were, it's difficult to aggree or otherwise.
If you had got them to supply and fit the arm (not a big job - why didn't you?) and they found it to be wrong, it would have been down to them to get the correct part, special delivery from Japan or not. have you re-ordered the correct arm?

IMO it shouldn't really matter who was fitting it, if they got him the wrong part they got him the wrong part.

I aggree. Assuming there was no error in the part No. at the point of ordering, I was thinking that it would have made matters simpler if it was a supply and fit.

Not sure why you are selling the arm. If it is not what you require, you can get your money back as you have 7 working days under the cooling off period under the distance selling regulations from you placed the order. If the part is wrong the contact between you and seller is void as they have supplied the incorrect part and a full refund must be issued.

The t&c's on a website or written do not remove the right you retain by law as a consumer, in this case it appears that you should get your money back as long as the vendor has given the incorrect part or if it has been within 7 working day period.

Firstly I would suspend any further bitching about XS on SN
Secondly call them back and ask for a refund again explaining that you are aware of your rights etc. Try to speak to someone else other than Mr Arrogant.
Finally if you get no joy [and you are in the right] slate them all over the internet.

There's 2 sides to every story.

I've never had any problems with Xtreme ... perhaps it's just a misunderstanding? I'd cool it with the slagging off seeing as they are well respected on here. Also surprised at some of the posts above considering how long you've been SNet members

Whats the problem just your typical British company, once they have your money they dont want to know.

Well lane turbo might be a well respected company on scoobynet but having dealt with them once, I found the owner to be a complete ar**hole.

I've been going to Xtreme for years and always found both Knowlsey and Paul to be decent guys and their service perfectly satisfactory. I would want to hear their side, I find it hard to believe Knowlsey really went off on one as described, especially if the error really was on their side

As above had my car serviced by them yesterday, can't fault them. Been using them for 4 years for servicing and other works.
Not Knowlsey at all, very understanding even with me!

Sorry you have had a bad experience.
My experience of them has been completely different. I have been using Extreme for 5 years now, and have nothing but praise for them. They have gone out their way to help/save me money.

Same here: Knowlsey and Paul have looked after me since I got my car 5 years ago. They've always been models of customer service. Doesn't sound like him at all.

Xtreme (Knowlsey and Paul) have been servincing my scoobies for years now and ever since we first started taking our cars there they've been great. clear, great service, friendly.....very keen to help and to offer constructive advice. doesnt sound like the same guys your describing....its prob worth a call back to see if you can resolve the issue and shift the part.
they have a good rep on here for a reason...they're good!
im very surprised that was your experience of them.
best of luck sorting it out mate!

I've been using them for years and NEVER had any issues with them at all. Sounds very very unusual indeed

another thumbs up for me. When the fitted my coilovers and found that Apex had sent the wrong top mounts, they were more than happy to store my car for 2 days until the correct parts were sent
