Hi All
A big thank you to everyone who has placed an order already. The shop is going really well.
Thanks also for the positive feedback by email and on the "shop is launched" thread.
Now everyone's had a chance to have a look, I'm looking for feedback on the following subjects...
1) Range. How is the range? Is it more or less than you expected?
2) What would you like to see? What products would you most like to see offered in the shop.
3) Useability. How did you find the shop to use?
Thanks in advance for your comments which will help us to improve the shop for us all.
Cheers
Simon

Is there any way you could sell mail-order tyres? I'm fed up with having to shop round for them, then the cheap places are always a long way away. National Tyres do mail order, but they charge mucho wonga.

Simon,
1. Range is good, probably a bit better than I expected from ScoobyShop phase 1.
2. More vids/books. More interior stuff. More motorsport stuff.
In fact, more of everything!
Three of the items I ordered (pedal extensions, & two videos) I didn't really need, nor did I go looking for them. I saw them in ScoobyShop and thought "ooh - must have them!"
I was like a kid in a sweet shop
You have a captive market here. The more you offer the more you'll sell. Keep it coming!
3. The shop, IMO, is visually good as well as nice'n'easy to use. (I'm running IE5)
Hope this helps.

Simon,
Looks really good, works really well (IE5)and the range is pretty good also.
How about more in the way of exterior bits? ie. Jap spec rear lights (clear/red)? I think they would go like hot cakes? Maybe front and rear spoilers such as sti front lip, sti5/6 rear spoilers? (no fibre glass rubbish though )
Great start, though!
Any idea when I'll get my scoobynews cd?
Regards
Leigh

Diverting a little bit, I bought some stuff from the shop this weekend, is there or will there be some form of conformation email sent by scoobynet shop about the order, i.e Received the following order for ?, on Date?, for £xx ?, delivery due ?, etc etc.
Great shop though!!!.
And I found it very easy to navigate.
Would like to see octane boost on plus everything else.
Muddy.

Simon,
A lot easier than the old email/cheque system.
The range is better than I thought for stage 1.
I cant see all the bottom basket/checkout bar unless I alter text size to smallest in IE 5.? in Windows ME @ 1024x768

Pretty good. Product range seems good to start. An order confrimation via email would be good along with expected delivery date. Not sure if you part ship or send whole order once complete.

Hi All
Thank you very much for the comments so far...
brooks
Thanks for that. My apologies, we have not developed this version for Netscape, but we intend to sort this for the future. I am sorry it doesn't work for you at this time.
carl
Mail order Tyres is something we are definitely planning but will probably fall into Phase 3. I assure you (as the rest of the shop) all prices will be spot on.
DrEvil
Large and expensive items like AP kits will be included in the Phase 2 / 3.
Rich
A lorry load of more videos and books will be uplaoded within 24 hours just for you! We will also increase the range of Sparco / other motorsport products as they are selling really well.
Leigh
I will look into jap spec rear lights, good idea. Bumpers / other major bodywork items will be included in Phase 3 (possibly 2).
Scoobynews CD is due for release in March, I hope to be introducing our new editor shortly when all is confirmed. He has an oustanding background in the very pinnacle of magazines / media editing and I will be absolutely thrilled to have him on-board (it's taken me months to talk him into it!!! ). With this in mind, I can tell you it will be well worth the wait.
Mr Cookie
We were originally planning to include CD's DVD's and Computer Games, but decided that there was too much competition for CD's / DVD's to make it worth buying from scoobynet, and decided that the games would probably not have a big enough call. What do you think?
muddy
You should have received a receipt from worldpay for your payment. We will then also send you a confirmation that your goods have been dispatched. Is this enough? Or would you rather receive a confirmation of the receipt of the actual order also?
logiclee
Thanks mate. I think I'm going to re-write the pages without frames as this is a fairly common problem.
AllanB
See reply to muddy above re: receipt. Re: Part orders. We are trying to ship in one lot. but will split in certain situations if there is a long wait due for one item for example.
Thanks again to everyone for their comments, they are incredibly useful. Keep them coming as they will help us to improve the shop.
Kind regards
Simon

Hi Simon
I was think IIRC that amazon do a deal where people uses your site to buy from but it actually comes direct from amazon. Not quite sure how it works in practice though

Hi Simon,
Is there anyway to check out delivery charges before placing an order? Whilst the exact amount might vary depending on what you buy, a rough guide would be usefull.
I always like to know the P&P costs before I start building up my basket.
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for that reply.
Trying not to be a real pain in the behind, I would like it if I received a confirmation email for the products I have ordered also, as well as aan email when the goods are dispatched.
As I am of a Nervous dispostion when it comes to Online ordering it would be nice to hear from you that you have received the order at your end.
I appreciate that Worldpay send me a conformation email but I took this as being just for the payment
Sorry again for being a pain (But a hundred quid is a lot to me )
I look forward to receiving my goodies!!!.

Hi Chaps
Mr Cookie
I'll check into that, thanks. Mind you we already have a good supplier for motorsport books, so we can start with them?
CLS
Tyres are a defo.. Phase 2 is due (i hope) within the next couple of months, and phase 3 a couple of months after that (but phase 3 is SO SO SO huge, you just won't believe what we have planned! ). There are 5 phases in total and each phase requires a qualification in terms of turn-over (and a few other factors) from the previous phase, so the these timescales are just estimates.
ChrisB
Good idea, sorry. I'l build something in. Thanks for the suggestion. Just so that it is clear to all reading, you ARE notified of delivery charges before actually confirming your order, but not until you click checkout. I will think of a way of making this more clear.
muddy
You're not being a pain at all. I think you are dead right. Apologies for making you feel uncomfortable. Just to confirm to you, we HAVE received your order and we'll let you know about delivery ASAP.
Cheers chaps

1) the range was much as I expected for the first opening, but I'm sure you'll be surprising us with more bargains in the future!!
2) more body styling stuff, big brakes, maybe wheels - but as you say later phases!
3) very useable, and the p&p thing has been picked up already!
If the big things are happening phase 3, what are you selling for phase 5, cars???
Just don't come up with too many good things, my bank manager won't like it!!!

Just like say that I'm impressed with the professionalism of it all. You have obviously worked very hard on this and it shows. Well done.
Just to echo a few point made before I would like to see;
Confirmation of order received and shipped.
Estimated delivery date for goods.
Cheers

Oh, one other thing.
The Sparco Driving Gloves - how do I know if I'm a size 8 or 12?
A note of how to work out what size you are would be very useful.
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi All
Update to follow later...
Jason.. Sorry this is unclear. The "Account" button is only to amend your existing account (I will make this more clear). You will be prompted to set up and account when you go to checkout.
Sorry for the confusion.

Si,
for attempt 1, the shop is excelent. You could have a big future in B2B. I think you could 'price in' an exccess of maybe 5%. e.g. I would pay 5% more for an induction kit with a scoobynet recemmondaton than 1 I would find in a shop. This could go towards upkeep. keep it up

Sorry, coming in a bit late on the thread (been busy at work!)
Has much of what I expected it would, and most of the stuff that is not there is mooted for Phase 2/3, or mentioned above, but for completeness, here's what I'd like to see
* Tyres,
* Turbo's
* PossumLink ECU + other Link bits
* Turbos
* Broquet
* Bonnets, bumpers, grills, side skirts, etc (so us with old cars can get the bumper/gril combo to fit the morrete quad headlamps)
* Bellof HID lights + other HID stuff
* Engines (okay, okay, taking the pi55 a bit, but hey, if I could get a nice STi III engine from the scoobyshop and drop it into the blackbeast I'd be well happy!)
* Bulbs (for headlights, not ones to stick in the ground!)
* Alloy Wheels
ummm, think that is it for the moment. Sorry if any of the above is a) stupid, or b) already on the shop.
once again, cheers for the shop, it is very, very good.

Floyd,
Didn't realise there was a Bondage Forum. Is this for moderators and special invites only?
On topic - I thought there was going to be proper Muppet merchandising. IE Jim Henson stuff. Also be nice to get the Auto Art models cheaper.
How about and auction area for merchandise (signed etc) and car parts from the Rally team.
