Junc 15 M1. Camera Van

Yes, I have stupidly broken the law. And now have 3 points and a £60 fine for my troubles.
For your information, it took Northampton Police nearly 3 months to let me know (Company car).
Since the Government have let the police force keep the money, Northampton Police are loving the extra cash. Infact, speaking with Lex Lease (company car is from them) they now get, wait for it......6,000 letters each month from the Police with NIP's. This is just one lease company. Imagine how many the police are issuing each month in total.
Please be aware of M1 Junc. 15. And I hope they are equally as strict in built up area's for speeders and not just doing it for the extra money.

Northants have five mobile 'Safety Camera Teams' and as we speak there are three of them (that I've noticed) sneakily parked around the town centre, so they're not just out to get M-Way speeders.

Northants must be one of the worst places for this. They have 5 safety camera vans and have several gatso type cameras. They seem to monitor the m1 alot but they also monitor built up areas also. Whilst driving to work, I will probably see at least 1 safety camera van a week.

yeah, it's pretty bad in Northampton at the moment. Can't even pop out for 5 mins at lunchtime without worrying about the vans which seem to be everywhere. Quite a lot of people at work have been caught over the last few weeks.
For this reason I'm looking into either a Geodesy or a Bel990. I think the Bel990 looks as though it will be most useful because of the number of mobile vans about (Geodesy won't warn you of those obviously).
grrrrr,
Andy.

That must be a very regular spot. My brother was done there 4 months ago and he only goes to London once a year!! The fact he was in my car annoyed me as I spent a good couple of hours trying to work out why I was there when the letter finally arrived.

Andy,
sadly the Goedesy won't catch the mobile vans, and the BEL won't spot the "white van" cameras.
Your ONLY option is to respond to the various government proposals FORMALLY! Just WHO is in control of the roads these days?
