Swiss Vignette Motorway Pass
Just wondering if anyone on here has a Swiss Vignette Motorway Pass they don't need any more, which I could buy from them?
Going away next month, and will probably pop to Switzerland.

Its stuck on the windscreen mate, you cant get it off without damaging it.
If you dont use the motorways you dont need to buy one. i.e. dont enter Switzerland by motorway and you wont be asked to buy one.
However, if you will be using the motorways then safer to buy as big fine otherwise
You can buy one here for 27 quid in advance.

Just buy one in advance as Beastie says, if you call them up they do speak perfect English and will post it out to you. Saves any hassle at the border as you get punted to one side and made to go and buy one if you don't have it otherwise.

Ok, thanks guys
I was just thinking of maybe going to Geneva really. Could I miss the motorways out? Or is it worth the same in fuel going round them, rather than just buying a pass?

If you enter Switzerland by motorway you will be made to buy one at the border post. Its no hassle. However, if you enter by non-motorway then its a bit difficult to get one afterwards.

Yeah, £27 is too much to pay really. And will be less hassle for me at the border if I get one now.
Do you have to have it on a certain side of the windscreen?

I dont have one just now, however, i remember the police lady expertly sticking it on the right hand top corner of the windscreen (looking forward) on both occasions. One car was LHD and the other RHD same place.
design is slightly different now, before it ha d a cross in the middle which was not attached to the outer when stuck on.

You can get em at the border or in petrol stations and you can pay in either euros or Swiss stuff, they are €25 each so no major pocket damage.
If you do get one, a simple trick is to stick it on a piece of cling film then it doesn't stick to your car and you can move it about from car to car if need be.
