Default Help: What is this???

What is this? Its located in the front of the front wheel wheels up near the top of the bumper area.

Is it the air big detonator thing??

I have removed my brake cooling ducts for a newer bumper, and im worred this will get wet and explode the bag in my face. That would be bad.

Hope someone can advice on wtf this is? and should i worry that it may get wet as its now raining...

Ta

Chris

I've got no idea what that is but I think that I have one on my Import 96 WRX. On my car its just behind the drivers side top suspension mount inside the engine bay. Might be something different but either way I'd try to get some rubber to cover it or just a sandwiche bag zip tied over it for now just to protect it from the miserable weather. It's bucketing down here in Wales too. :-(

being yellow it could be airbag related. The crash sensor perhaps.

yeah that was my rekoning.

one on each side too.

GUess ill try and refit my brake ducts. Not sure they will refit/have the fittings. If not i guess i could pull the airbag fuse out or something to stop it going off.

its the impact sensor, all the wires and the components are coded yellow to stop wannabe auto electricians probing them with 12v+

Wicked. Air ducts back on, they will probably more stop flow than increase it as they dont entirley line up with the new bumper. But they are on and its on pretty good so im hopeful.

Thanks for the advice guys.
