me and a mate "hired" the prodrive test track in kenilworth (if I remember correctly) that might meet your needs.
not cheap and you dont get the place to yourself and you have to have a driver approved with prodrive the whole time.
there is a normal track layout, although short, a tarmac rally stage with a longest straight of about 20 metres and a skidpan.
great day out
did 6mpg

OMG there is a place on your door step !!! I used to go to watch the racing there when I lived over there. It's a sprint track just outside Fradly near Litchfield.
Car clubs meet there for racing. It has a web site but I can't bloody remember the name of the site.

Contact these fella.
They organise proper events, many on airfields.
Advanced race training in your own car.
I have been on there days and they are cheap & first class.
Includes lunch, track training by ex F1 driver Mike Wilds (top man) and others.

Thanks for the replies, The track in lichfield sounds goos as i am only 10 mins drive away, would that just be for sprint racing though?
My next problem is that my car is not road legal and does not have an mot, i have heard that some tracks require a valid mot.
