Default I/C spray problam

I have fitted a front mount intercooler on my impreza and have relocated the I/C spray to the front bumper to spray straight on to the intercooler.

1 problam is when i was doing it i noticed a plastic thing with a spring in it?????When i removed it, it snaped so i through it and now when i fill the bottle up it just comes straight through the sprayers with out pressing the spray switch. I need to no what that "thing" was as it didnt do it with that in.

Thanx all

Why not just replace the sprayer nozzles? Any nozzle will do the job.
