keypad??

Default keypad??

Hi,

ive just bought an 03 plate sti type uk and after a bit of playing ive found a little drawer below the steering wheel to the right that opens out and has a keypad in it. it looks like a factory fitted item, does anyone know what this is?

Basically the keypad is there for the alarm functions on the vehicle, you can get it to set various things on the car like ultrasonic sensitivity, door open beeps, battery voltage, and open/close beeps. and also can be used to disarm using the pincode in the operators manual if you have one.

ignition on quick press of your keyfob press button 5 on the keypad ignition off and lock the car it should beep thats on a newage it changes from my to my

Thank god for the tinterenet, i discovered that very same key pad a week ago and thought it was some way of checking the fuses lol, 40 year's old and cant remember life with the internet Man! i must have gone out in my younger days talking complete bo**x about cars without anyone knowing any better
