Mine has PPP and averages 22-23. I'm sure I read somewhere the PPP helps a bit with this but I had a hawkeye before without PPP and it was about the same - 240miles before the yellow light comes on.

I like you have garage problems and have to travel 20 miles round trip just to get super. Previous dealer told me you can use normal unleaded with the 2.5 engine but I have never risked it.

If I got 25 I would be more than happy. The roads I drive to work and back are all dual carriage ways with cops on so never floor my car, BMW 330CI at present. I have a sainsburys behind work that are doing super unleaded for 97.9 which is cheaper than the 98.9 I am paying at my local places but I am unsure whos fuel it is and if it is OK to use etc.

Get an oil burner as your daily runner if you are worried about mpg.

I used to have a 330d which was good. I want a nice, powerfull car that, if driven well now and again, isnt silly on fule. I dont mind blasting it and using the fuel, just like to know what they turn out when driven steady on dual cariage ways etc.

full tank of fuel - rag the bo11ocks of it - light on at 195-200 miles
full tank of fuel- steady conservative long trip, kept under 3000 rpm- light on 245-270 miles
dont know the actual mpg but it aint no eco friendly runaround whatever way you drive it mate, hope this helps ( this is with ppp, but tbh i think as normanthedog said cos of the extra low down torque i think it is actually better than standard. apart from the "hike" on insurance!!!)

If a tank is 60 liters, It works out at 17 MPG when driving steady, and 12 when pushing it.

The light is on but the tank isn't empty. I get about 240 miles to £45 of petrol which is roughly 10 gallons or 45 litres so 24mpg at best.

I get around 320 from a full tank doing 50-100 mile trips across a and b roads with a little motorway as well. If the tank is 60 I've never managed to put it in the most (when I conked out) was about 57. (which is about 26-27mpg)

If I rag the **** of it I can get it to around 7-8mpg (track) and on road around 15mpg

Since having it remapped (had the PPP before) I can easily get above 300 miles per fill up every time! 2.5PPP decatted - Remapped - Induction kit (in box) 300ish hp atw loads o' torque.

Get it remapped the PPP map is fairly poor imho and in my case was producing about 295 hp at the fly so the remap is a win win

Mine sits on 24 with "normal" driving, 26-27 if I'm being careful and 19-21 if I'm pushing on a bit.

Motorway 32-33mpg, town 18mpg, general country driving (Norfolk)27/29.
Obviously I don't drive like a loony, but floor it when overtaking and on the odd blast. Rest of the time its fun trying to get the mpg figure up to 30. (sad or what !)

Anywhere between 8ish(The 'Ring)to low 30's(driving back from The 'Ring).

Looking to push the low figure down even further if I can get some clearish laps!!

Average about 25 in normal driving

Pete

Our new 2.5 330s is doing about 23MPG at the moment which is about the same as the previous My06 STI PPP.....

... but my stealth car is my Audi A5 3.0 TDI. 300 BHP and 470 Torque (with mods). The great thing is that whilst it is not near the Sti in terms of performance (although real road driving the difference is less than you would think), it does a good 40MPG how ever you drive it.

I got the car!
Well I got it with less than a 1/4 of a tank and I put £40 of V power in it. It took the gauge to almost full.
I drove through the center of Leeds and then 100 mile to Nuneaton on the M1 etc and have over half left!
Driving up I put £20 in my BM which took it to over half, just, and when I got there it was almost all gone. That means the Scobby actualy used less. Now I know I wasnt using the loud pedal much etc but it fills me with so much joy that the powers there when needed and can be good on fuel when needed!

I have the standard 2.5 sti and if I take the car from Bromley to the Chester office which is 222 miles it will drain a tank of Tesco's 99ron. although that is pushing it. I am considering buying shares

Hi All,

I am shocked to be honest!
The fuel usage is great to what I expected!
Now granted its because I am driving like miss daisy but I am using the same, if not less fuel than my ex BMW.
I did use the loud pedal today, not greatly I know but bring on the smiles!
