Zero/Sports pod - do you have one?
To anyone who has a Zero/Sports gauge pod that sits on top of the clock:
where does the wiring for the gauges come into the pod? I mean if it just sits on top then there's no hole in the dash for it

I actually owned one of these pods for a while but I found the major design flaw with it was the overhang above the gauges faces isn't sufficient... so at night the gauges are visibly reflected in the windscreen. Even on lowest defi illumination setting I found this annoying and could have been dangerous. I think the carbon ones have a slightly longer overhang. The defi pods have a much longer overhang for sure, so have no reflection, and are under £100... I know where my money would go :-)

Which is carbon Daz... so a longer overhang. I think the non-carbon ones all have the shorter overhang. Might not bother some people I guess, but worth knowing.

Zero Sports Gauge Pod
Hi guys,
I know its an old thread but i was hoping someone could help, I have bought my impreza wrx with one of these pods on (not the carbon) and i want to take the pod off as i want to pass a cable up through for a sensor i have, but i dont want to use brute force and ignorance. I took out one of the gauges and had a look inside but cant see much, it feels tighter at the front than the rear, do i just pull and lift or something, if anyone can give me some advice that would be great.
Many thanks

Its held in by a few clips front and back, work from the back first, they are pretty stiff when fitted but just use a bit of safe strength if you get my drift and the pod will come out if you get a firm plastic spatula or tape up a large flat head screw driver so as not to scratch up your pod and work the corners at the back first, you should be fine.SJ.
Thanks SJ will give that a go tomorrow, would just be nice to see a picture or diagram of the fitting if you know what I mean, will let you know how i get on
