Default Impreza Model Query: STI Prodrive 2002

Can anyone enlighten me as to the 'standard' power of a 2002 Impreza WRX Sti Prodrive?
Is it 265 bhp or 300 bhp?
And what else does the prodrive one have over standard car?

If it has the prodrive pack fitted then it will be 305bhp

The Prodrive pack included, prodrive remapped ecu, samco intercooler hoses, uprated fuel pump, green panel filter, sports downpipe with prodrive exhaust.

back box should have prodrive on the tail pipe, there should be some blue samco hoses coming from the inlet manifold to the intercooler and also running under the intercooler.

I think the ecu should say prodrive on it also (someone please correct me on that if im wrong), check under the passenger footwell carpet and have a look

It depends on if you mean "prodrive style"... which was styling package (nice) or a Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP) which was the aftermarket prodrive package to raise the power to about 305 PS

Any dealer should be able to tell you if you have had a PPP fitted as it is logged on the IM database.

look at this

Prodrive Performance Pack Impreza WRX STI 2.0 02MY

basicly check the exhaust system, check for a blue prodrive y pipe behind intercooler joining it to the turbo.

You can get a
2002 wrx sti 265bhp or a
2002 wrx sti "prodrive style " 265 bhp
or either of the above with the PPP fitted which takes car to 300bhp many people think the prodrive style is 300 bhp it is not the case it is just a styling pack fitted eg rear spoiler different , front grill , different head lights and blue coloured speedo rev counter , i have a 2002 wrx sti " prodrive style" with straight through exhaust , uprated fuel pump , freeflowing air filter and remap to 330bhp scoobyclinic package .

According to IM's database my car didn't have the PPP fitted (MY05 STI).
It does, I have an invoice to prove it (No certificate) and its got all the right bits.

If its got decent lift before 4K then its got the PPP fitted.
Non PPP cars are dead until after 4K
PPP cars come alive about 3.5K

in 2002 they released a Prodrive style version and a standard version.
The Prodrive version had the big spoiler, wider and twisted sideskirts, different front bumper and blue dials

Being pedantic it is actually PS and not BHP.

PS = 1.01387 * BHP

I phoned Subaru on the main line (get if from the website) and got through to someone who could check the PPP register directly - you will need the registration number only.

PPP was a dealer fit aftersales option

They didnt need to change the intercooler pipework on the STI's as they were reinforced anyway, so you will have the sports cat, back box, fuel pump and ecu changes

On the 02's most had the piggy back ecu and some had a proper remap, just to add to the confusion.

yep, the blue prodrive intercooler hose was only on the WRX's - the STI's didn't need it so this shouldn't have one
