Default FUEL REGULATOR--MAF--PINKING

On my P1,with my ignition switch in second setting (ingition lights on), i can hear and feel fuel flowing through the flow and return fuel pipes. This i can only out down to a knackered regulator, would this cause the injectors to lean out under load, (boost) and cause engine pinking.

Also i have had a slight miss on tickover, causing the engine to be lumpy under the first initial press of the throttle, i thought it may be plugs, so i changed these, but i am also getting a loud ticking from the area where cyl 1 and 3 are, i thought it was one of the leads shorting (hence the miss on tickover) so i changed the complete set for new. Still got the ticking noise, thought it may be the turbo up pipe as it is a bit rough looking or an injector. But i'm now wondering if the miss and pinking are in fact the MAF.

Solenoid?? The fuel thing could be a knackered pump when it's trying to prime? You got a Walbro?
