Default Why does the horn on a scoob sound so Crap?

Had to get on the horn to some numpty who pulled out on me, and I have to say, it didn't exactly sound like I expected it too.
I thought the gezzer might have laughed at me, but when I drove past he looked more like he had shat his pants!

I uprated mine ages ago. They were quite badly corroded, so I put that down to the poor performance.

They are basically more horny and less beepy

Do the full relay set up and they are very loud.

Interesting - I'm fed up with the (swine-flu) oink from my Hawkeye, so ordered a pair of Stebel TM80/2LC from ebay. Realised minutes later that Stebel do a louder version called the Magnum, so investigating upgrading via the ebay seller.

There are sound clips on the Stebel website HERE ~ it's all Flash so I can't link directly to the sound, but it is definately more "meaty". (Horn tones are 410hz and 500hz - much deeper than an air-horn parp.

I found a air horn and mini compressor in mine, tried to get it working yesterday, but seems the compressor is seized.
May look to get a louder one soon though, I know what you mean about the sound. I think my Fireblade has a louder horn!

Comes with a relay, but you have to make up some extra wiring. TBH plug and play is pretty loud.

PIAA's look OK - but confused further now as two types on e-bay, one set rated at 400/500HZ and the other at 500/600HZ "High Pitch"

Stu I thought I might find you here you horny devil.

I have the slightly less-Compact Nautilus in fiery red. Still 139 decibels, one mounting point & OE spade plus one earth wire spade connection.

I've got the PIAA's - which are fairly enough to fit. Loud-ish too - at least the woman who decided she would try to overtake a truck without checking her mirrors as I was already overtaking her and the said truck found out on Monday!

Horns in japan are not used in the same way they are used over here.

ie: " ****ING ****ER **** **** BITCH **** GET OUT OF THE ****ING WAY"

Quick Reply: Why does the horn on a scoob sound so Crap?
