Default How do I make my Type RA looke more aggressive

Hi guys. After years of searching for a mint scooby I have finally purchased a beautiful Sonic Blue WRX Type RA MY00 Classic. As its completely standard I don't think it looks aggressive enough. I love the look of the P1 and the 22B, I know they are both 2 doors but how would I go about getting that mean look? I think I'm going to have to change the spoiler but not sure what to buy. It also has pretty naf wheels so they are getting changed. Can anyone give me advice, probably go back to the gold wheels. What sizes/styles fit straight on? Any advice would be helpful thanks

It will be a limited edition if sonic blue..........and being a type ra should,nt have all the skirts and chin spoilers etc.

As for wheels i would stick with some Jap design rims and in keeping with the lightweight theme....maybe some Rays, or Buddy club rims.

Nice car man. But if you want that P1 look probably best to just buy P1 Parts. You can get a P1 Front lip for your car easily online or maybe you'd wanna go all out and just buy a P1 front bumper. The P1 also uses factory looking side and rear skirts. Those can be easily had online too. Then you could go and get the P1 fog lamp covers with the little fog lamps in them and so on if you like.

As for wheels, there are a few options, you can get Prodrive wheels that O.Z. made. If you look around on forums or auction sites you sometimes see people selling their P1 wheels too. Or you can check out a set that O.Z. has that looks just like 'em too and comes in different finishes. There's also the INOVIT Tarmac. Rota has a wheel called the P1 and there are a few options, just gotta look around.

For the spoiler, a version 5 or 6 (preferably 6) STi spoiler probably should work but clearly a first choice should be the Prodrive spoiler itself.

...just my 2 cents

Thanks M@trix for that.

Are these spoilers, splitters, lips etc easy to fit?? I have never played around with the cars body before. What size wheels will fit and look the best. I've seen some nice BK Racing wheels on fleabay. Gold multispoke
Cheers

lowered on teins with a set of dark wheels maybe even 10mm spacer kit with wheels so looks wide and more agressive, v5/6 sti spoiler, p1 front splitter and some rally style mudflaps in black

Well my scoob is still on a boat somewhere in the pacific trying to get to me. But from what I know from a few friends they aren't that hard.

The spoiler you get may just bolt right in to where the current one sits now. I've heard rumors of some of them being stuck onto the trunk but never looked into it. I could be wrong.

The skirts would be pretty straight forward too. I think I'm gonna go for a 17" set but that's cuz my car has no skirts and I may leave it that way and keep that RA look. So 17 or possibly 18 might work for you, depending on the look you desire. As to the brands I don't know anything about BK so can't say. But I figure you can get some good brands for comparable prices or some japan spec light weights or something.

To the O.P.

Take off the spoiler.
Lower it on coilovers.
Spray wheels black or fit 17/18 black rims.
Tint rear windows dark.

I would have thought the above would give you a more aggressive stance

as above go minimal rather than adding stuff, as that's how they are meant to be.

Looks very nice but from the picture above, One of the tyres appears to be on the wrong way round assuming it's a directional tyre which it looks like it is. Check the side of the tyres for the little arrow

be original, make your car stand out in a crowd, do something totally different to the masses and FFS leave it standard. What you have there is a bloody nice car that if looked after and left standard will be worth considerably more when you come to sell than a lot of the barry tat thats about

Make your choice fella personally I would leave it standard. This is my brother's old car and looked exactly like yours when it was purchased and transformed to this:

Is this the sort of aggression you're after? Be warned though it is addictive and an expensive habit

Nice one my friend!!! It was very keenly priced.

I've got No. 380

They really are awesome cars. Mines mapped and still worries me after 2 months of ownership

Personally due to the rarity of these cars I'm not doing anything cosmetic to mine other than wheels and flaps. I'll be getting an FMIC soon but no big spoilers or P1 lips for me.

Well done
