Santa Pod
I was there today for the 1st time, it was a good laugh. I managed a few runs but constantly missed gears. At one point in the afternoon one of the cars started slinding and rolled into the side but luckily the driver was ok but his car was not soo lucky The santa pod jet car has to be the loudest car I have ever heard

Times were embarassing, I averaged 12secs. Grip level was ok in the morning as I was getting 1.6/1.7 reaction times but in the afternoon my car was spinning that much off the line it was dropping to 2.0 reaction times so I gave up as when it stopped spinning it dragged me across a bit so there had to be some backing off. I was expecting a low 11 and I couldn't of been any further from it. The commentator and the photographer were saying they were expecting mine in the 11's just my gearchanging is soooooo crap

Steve, it,s alot harder than folks think to get the launch etc right AND the gear changes, it,s almost like panic sets over you imo, on the road you,d nail every change probably without fail.....
12s aren,t bad though at all, bet you had a good terminal with that..??

JP4 I'm just launching on launch control so everyone is the same, I had to back off a few times when snatching for 2nd as it felt like the car was snaking off the line. But even later on in the day using launch control it was just spinning the wheels so my launches were crap.

I hit late 12s last year and I was running in my lardy new age at 330bhp with a boot full of crap including a back prodrive box and middle section! Hopefully it will be a little quicker than this when Chy's finished with it!

As Chy said to me.....Big power is great, however if you don't get your set up right i.e. suspension, tyres, weight etc....then you ain't going to be able to lay it down right, thus you will not get the best of that power which in turn will affect times. Ofcourse the other crucial thing is strictly no micky mouse driver
