The Need for Speed.
Hi Guys,
About four months ago my "better half" did the unthinkable and gave me an ultimatum.
Get rid of the scooby or get out !!
Her point of view.
Impractical car.
Hard ride.
No space.
noisy.
Too fast.
Basically not a family friendly car.
So I chopped it in for a touareg and after a few tweeks I thought I could live with being awash in leather, top build quality, more buttons to shake a stick at, ect, ect, ect.
But and a very big but it's so boring. I have been depressed since I bought it. In a way I was glad to shift the scoob due to a T*at in work killing my paintwork by grinding by it, the paint was never the same. (see old threads)
Now there is a meet in Liverpool today and my little fella and me really wanted to go, but he said I aint going there in our Toerag and looking stupid.
Clever kid, now off we went looking on the net and found a very nice Forester STi. To my amazment the miserable one likes it, loads of room ect.
To my question.
It's from a dealer so your paying his premium but I can PX mine.
The Forester is 05. 18000mls. Full Service. No Mods. Leather. White
1 owner. Looks the beans. Here's the killer: £ 14999:00.
I can't get a price online any ideas for a base price I can start the bidding.
Cheers and maybe I will be there next month. If I don't kill her in the meantime....

Alan.
The paintwork was well and truly f*cked that swung it for me,pal.
But as a practical family car, she had me by the nuts.
We went on hols last year 5 up and luggage, nearly lost my PPP exhaust on the first speed bump outside my house. Got the kid's out of the car and made them walk to the end of the road, LOL that sealed it for her.
One of the boys came around yesterday on a new KTM crosser, had a bash for a bit and I realised I am not through with the bug yet. So a forester ticks all the boxes. But in this climate I'm not giving 15k. Maybe....

Right
Just phoned the stealer up about the forester, asked the usual.
Yes Mr Mac it has no dents and when I drove it, it,s bloody rapid. FFS.
Checked out his site and he seems to be the usual small time dealer and not specialising in subaru. This could be a good thing and a bad one also.
Going over to see him in the morning.
I could do with some feed back with prices boys, and a few things to look out for with a STi. Pretty on mechanically wise but suspension ect.
All comments taken on board...
Cheers in advance.

A few pointers can found here CLICKY
Once registered be sure to log into the European site as that's where you will most of the Brits
Lastly as you're changing the car ask them if they will take the Wife too as a younger model is always a good thing
