Default What is the correct size tyre for a classic?

As above please for a 17"x7.5" rim. Is it 215/40/17? Dont think it makes a difference but its going on a MY98 STI.

Cheers
Andy.

any classic that has 17's as standard (ie. RB5 & P1) have 205/45/17 fitted from factory.

however that said my classic have after market 17's and the tyres are 215/40/17 and they have been fine.

hope this helps

Cheers. I have gone for a 215/40/17 for a slightly bigger contact patch.

Andy.
