Firstly I would remove the speed that you say you were doing since the police do actually look through forums like these!
Secondly unless your using a gps speedo i.e a sat nav or road angel, then your speedo will most likely be way out anyway, could probably knock at least 7-8 mph off your top speed
Thirdly, the best was to to map a my99 car with just a few mods would be to remap the standard ecu via Ecutek, unfortunatly you cant really tell if its been done without the proper certificate. Try talking to the previous owner and see what he/she says.

That would sound like the ecu has been changed before its been sold to you. Theres no need for the mapper to go anywhere near it while mapping as its all done via the obd socket if ecutek has been used.
There is no paper license to prove its been mapped. the only way it to get a ecutek dealer to hook up to it and see if it holds the eletronic license.

Even a standard car will give a 2.2 prelude a run for its money doesnt mean that your car is mapped, but with those mods your probably looking at between 230-240bhp anyway

if it had been mapped it would boost up to 1.25 bar. also do you ever hit boost cut if you do then it defo hasnt been mapped
