Hi,

Im not far away from booking my first remap. What easy power mods should i do before the remap. its already got 3" decat but restricted to 2.5 to keep high end performance. With a ramap am i safe to remove the 2.5" restrictor without loosing top end?

Should i go for induction or panel filter? Fuel pump perhaps?

I would like an FMIC also.

Your car, JDM Sti 4 will be about 280bhp with optimax fuel. Adding a FMIC will allow your a few extra degrees of timing= more power. Also putting a fuel pump and decent fuel regualtor will allow you to have increased fuel pressure, which will help your mapper get abit more performance. Just use a new panel filter for the moment.

Without changing the turbo, fuel injectors, regulator, Fmic you are a bit limited to early to mid 300s bhp/torque.

Then if you want more then you need to consider upgrading your clutch, possibly gearbox, brakes and suspension. This is when its starts to get vey expensive.

I would say a fuel pump and panel filter are a must, like andy says unless you upgrade the turbo, injectors etc you wont get more than 300bhp ish

Yeah can regard the brakes and suspension as sorted so its power time .

Initially i want to go as far as i can without up rating the Turbo and Injectors. That will be done in a couple months time. Rekon i can probably push to 400 ish on std gearbox and internals. So i think perhaps ill try responsive high 300's.

But for now i just need to get it as far as is reasonably possible before the first remap.

Fmic will require inducition. So thee is another 600 quid gone! lol.
