Default Electric Cars

So, if you buy an Electric car in 2011 you could get up to £5000 back.

Electric cars are ment to be greener for the environment and help reduce the amount for fossil fuels we are fast running out of to produce petrol and Diesel.

Now call me thick but have I missed something here, if we get electric cars so help save the environment and you have a range of 70 odd miles, so if I wanted to go see my family who are 270 miles away I would have to charge the car 4 times and they wont be all that quick to charge.

My point is how do we produce electricity??? oh yeah, COAL a fossil fuel we are fast running out of let alone the pollution coal power stations produce.

So in a nut shell, we slow down the amount of oil we use to produce fuel and have fewer cars polluting the planet but then we need to use more coal which we are running out of to produce electricity and have more power stations built that pollute the planet more.

WTF.

....and then we have the same issue with disposal but with a huge battery pack to get rid of. I also read somewhere they are less "environmentally friendly" to build than ordinary cars.

They can keep their £5k. I'll be using petrol until they price me out of it.
Audi RS4 V8 for me next

Electric only makes sense to me if those cars will also fly!
