Default will this engine fit?

hi i M PUTTING A NEW ENGINE IN MY UK TURBO 2000 DUE TO PISTONS GOIN SO JUST GOIN TO REPLACE ENGINE, WILL A ENGINE FIT STRAIGHT IN OUT OF A K REG IMPREZA ?

the engine has sold now my car is a version 5 turbo 2000 1999 v reg and pistons have gone so i am replacing the engine say i was putting a sti engine in would i have to change the loom or would the loom plug straight into sti ecu?

as long as the engine comes from the same year car it should fit and plug in, its the ecu end that has wiring differences.

And the ECU, turbo etc, etc.

If you're planning on putting an old WRX/STi engine into a my99-00 car, I'd suggest calling a specialists to see what the craic is myself. There is a reason they changed the layout over the years...

the OP hasn't mentioned anywhere about fitting a sti engine with its ancillaries, so my original post stands correct.
