WRX300/blobeye buying advice
Hi guys, new member here! My name's Clive, a die-hard VW fanatic looking for a fun daily driver.
I've drawn up a bit of a short list as below:
Seat Leon Cupra R - Had one before, was a great car for the money. Perhaps worth a re-visit.
BMW 330i/d - Preferably a Coupe, but tending to be an older car for the same money.
Impreza WRX/WRX 300 - Fuel consumption, high insurance, but that sound and grip.......
I popped out to a local trader this morning who has a WRX300 on an 05 plate at the right money. It has 54k on the clock, serviced every 10k, and the cambelt done at 50k. One previous owner plus demo. What should i look for? Any problems to look out for in particular? etc etc etc....
Cheers for your help guys!

Uneven tyre wear, cheap tyres, smoke , accident damage. The cars are well built and reliable if properly serviced and looked after. Servicing costs aren't that bad, particularly if you use a specialist. Just beware that the next service at 60k is a big one, all fluids etc. Budget around £350 at a specialist. Once you have it, the world is your oyster to improve brakes, handling and performance for not too much....You won't regret it. Welcome to the forum too.

Thanks mate, no different to any other car then really by the sounds of it?
Wouldnt really look at modding too much as thats what my dubs are for (i have 2 MK2 Golfs that are in various states, one to be a trackday car, the other will finally end up as a show car VR6), i just want a fun daily that won't ask too much from me.
What sort of mpg can i expect from a WRX? Read a few things about STIs that put me off them to start with!

On a run 27 to 30 if you stay off boost.
The 300 has the PPP which makes the standard car more fun with STI performance in a more relaxed and comfortable package.

Excellent news!
One thing i did pick up on with the one today was a degree of windnoise. Is this usual too? I'm used to a 2006 Audi A3 as the car i currently normally use so wasn't expecting it to be as quiet as that. Do they suffer with door/window seals at all?

You could be right.......i'll have to see if i can find another local one to compare.
Got a few other cars to look at too, then i will start to concentrate on exactly which one i want to go for.....i'm useless at making decisions!!
Cheers for your help mate!
