Thought this may be of interest to others, Scoobymania are awaiting a large delivery of Defi gauges and currently estimate pricing to be as follows:

Retail prices for 3 gauges & pod, are coming in at circa £432. including VAT & postage OR £525.00 fitted.

Retail prices for 4 gauges & pod are £583.

This is subject to the stuff actually arriving, current estimates are that the order will arrive within 5-6 weeks.! They do wavy and plain for the Pre-new age cars (with centre bin), but currently only wavy ones for the new age car.

See http://www.scoobymania.co.uk for contact details and further info.

I am in no way affiliated with Scoobymania, am just on the lookout for the best price possible.

regards,

greg

Yep, our pods (as most Impreza owners will know) are manufactured for us in the UK.

Within the price indicated for 4 gauges by Greg above, we have also allowed for the extension cable as it is needed for 3 gauges in the centre and one on a centre column mount.

Mike

Gregh's email refers to plain and wavy pod for pre MY01 cars - I've seen piccies of the plain pod (same as Kevin Stanton's?) - are the wavy ones similar to the Defi wavy ones?

Cheers

I think our prices are cheaper, and this is not even a "group buy"

Theo.
LHD 'A' pillar pods for the 01MY are in production at the moment, should be available in a couple of weeks?

Matt
Drop me a mail direct and tell me what you're after and I'll confirm the fitting price with you.

Dave McC
Yes.

No info about these on your website Mike

I actually prefer the look of the non-wavy pods. If you have three gauges do you need the extension lead?

OK, didn't want to start a price war. This was a natural progression for us, as we were selling Defi stuff nearly 2 years ago, (even before Nito),

It had gone on a back burner as we just didn't have the resources to pursue it but with our continued expansion we have had the time to do something with it.

I'm not going to get into a price war with Dingy, (or Nito) or argue about the quality of our own manufactured items. Indeed I wish him all the best in his brand new company.

We have spent a lot of time on this and had not wanted to throw a stick in anybody's spokes. At the end of the day, this should be good news for the customers, we are here all the time and will continue to sell and support a whole range of products, some of which may or may not be available at other places/companies/ventures Etc.

Mike.

Information on our web site will be updated when our stock has actually landed.

You sure Paul. as you are contradicting whats said in the first post absolutely(wavy or plain)? This is just plain stupid now, everyone should just grow up and pick the supplier they want based on whatever criteria they feel important.

Hmm as I say, not interesed in this sort of childs play, odd also that the picture of our pod has been blown up 3 time bigger than the other one, also that the "host" site for that picture is Dingy's?

The picture also shows the pod in its "straight out of the mould", un-cleaned, un drilled state.

Glad that yet again this has turned into something so un-helpful and unproductive.

I've got Mikes pod in my car, and it's lovely, perfect fit, and almost spot on colour - top stuff.
The image above is nothing how the article looks (at lest when I recieved mine).

Just another point - as dingy et al seem desperate to discredit Mike and Scoobymanias great offer...

If you buy off scoobymania at least you know they will still be around if something goes wrong and you want to send anything back........ and also your VERY likely to get it when you pay for it........
.........I understand the same (in the past) can't be said for shall we say "one of their new (and also ex ) competitors"

Very cheap shot posting a crappy pic of something thats nothing like the pod that gets put in your car.

Great stuff mike....

Not at all, people are quick to judge me all the time.

Plus any faults you would have we will swap, not sure what you are getting at there.

Plus we can supply fitting as we now have a unit in Matlock.

Just by a bit of banter.....

Dingy,

For someone who used this BBS to publicly slate a "business associate" who you felt badly done by, I am concerned now by your rather underhand business outlook towards your competitors and the marketing of your product. I also note you don't have a banner advert yet you ply your wares at the drop of a hat on this BBS. Mike on the other hand was one of the companies who provide capital for the Scoobynet 2 launch - http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/relaunchsupporters.htm and that counts for something in my book.

Come on guys lets play fair, were adults not kids in a playground - First one to say he started it will take 100 lines

laters

Stu

Frisby, if you look at it, well IMHO it looked like Mike underhanded me

1. Banner is coming.
2. We used to advertise, not renewed as of NAM because of what has happened with the business.
3. We paid for the petrol in the Simon De Banke's World Record Attempt.

So i guess that is supporting the cause.

As i say people are quick to judge, its all a bit of banter, some people are far too serious.

Guys,

PLEASE. I just posted this to share with people. There are now 2 prices for gauges recently posted. Please make your own decisions on which company you wish to use and avoid slanging matches.

Regards,

Greg
