Default Jap or UK?

is there any obvious sign from telling import and uk apart?

sorry am new to scoobies

and is there much power difference from my wrx classic to a bugeye wrx?

classic jap imports have a rear wiper, and quite often have an additional fog light fitted to rear.

the name aswel.

Turbo 2000 for Uk models and WRX for imports.. However, not always a good sign as some people say Impreza WRX UK model.

Visually, as above, you may also see with the seats. As far as im aware, uk models have grey bits.

also the vin number is shorter on imports and i think im right in saying more bhp.

260ps for yours about 225bhp for the bugeye

Jap Bugeye = 250 BHP standard no mods.
UK Bugeye = 215 BHP standard no mods.
UK Blobeye = 225 BHP standard no mods.
UK Classic = 215 BHP standard no mods.
WRX Jap = 240 or 260 BHP standard depending on year.

Jap cars have electric folding mirrors.
Some Jap Versions did noy have a rear wiper either.

think its 12 digits for jap vin number, 17 for uk.

On classics, the Uk model has headlight washers in the bumper.

the jap import doesnt

Nardi steering/gearknob for jap imports on classics

I had an early WRX (93) and that didnt have electric folding mirrors,
maybe as it was one of the early ones.
When i upgraded to a 97 sti, i was like whats that button do? pressed it and was like ooohh thats cool
It was the first car i'd ever had with electric folding mirrors tho
