Was just looking on e-bay and there is a guy from Notts. area selling a couple of OEM MY01 sets of wheels with tyres. The silver set are currently at £510.00 and the gold ones are at £830.00 Can only think it is a Yank bidding for them.

Just goes to show what bargains can be found on this BBS, unless of course you are the seller....................

Yeah

I have just bid £9.99 for a mobile phone cover with the WRC car on it, so nobody on here must outbid me. OK.

Those wheels are seriosly overpriced! I wonder whether the buyer, if they are in the US, realises that
  • they can buy them brand new for less than that from a dealer
  • how much the cost of shipping from the UK to the US will be
  • that the selling currency is £ not $
  • there is a set of STi wheels / tyres on here for £750!

Thumbs up

There are some crazy folk around on Ebay, that seem to pay over the odds for stuff. At the bottom of that page is an Airfix Scooby model which is currently at £5.64 bid.

I have bought these recently - they cost £4.99 with paints etc, or £3.99 on their own - in all good Woolworths

BTW what does a set of MY02 straight off a new car fetch these days? I only ask because I will be whacking a set of Superleggeras straight on mine and could sell the original wheels to offset some of the cost or keep them for a track day if Im not going to get much for them.

When I bought my MY01 with 18" anthracites the dealer gave me a £300 discount in return for the original wheels/tyres. I believe he sells them for this or a little bit more...

Exclamation

Errrrm sorry for sounding daft......
But wouldn't it set you back £400ish for a set of brand new bridgestones anyway which kinda offsets the price of the alloys??
(Not me bidding for em tho honest!!)
