Default Where's Scoobynet Spec C Project car gone?

Anyone know where Shaun's (ex webby) Scoobynet Spec C project car thread has gone. All 5,000000 pages of it! Cant find it through searches either.

Want to read the section about cold air surge a & how it wasnt a good thing when mapping. Just wondering whether a cold air feed from front fog into air box may cause such surge??

I think it was more the bigger turbo inlet pipe that casued this problem, not the cold air intake.

IIRC it was the fitment of an induction kit that caused surge.

rickya,
It was caused by opening up the inlet, by replacing the airbox with an induction cone. Unless you have to remove the airbox because of FMIC installation, or you modify the engine to enable it to consume the amount of air that a cone filter provides ..... don't bother. This is obviously regarding a twin scroll set-up.

For the costs and minor advantages, it is simply not worth it in my opinion.

To add.... any tuner that says it is OK to have the surge needs a good kicking!
