New Car
#1
Hello everyone, i have just bought a green 1999 subaru turbo and am very please with it.
It is a standard UK car but will not go as fast as it says on the speedometer. I have tried along the M40 (in the night) but it stops at 140 mph. I have tried shell optimax but this didn't make any difference.
the car has full subaru history and has 32K on the clock.
thanks

So you think that top speeds can be judged by the max number on the speedo?? Haven't heard of that since I was at school!
Seriously though *only* 140 is all that you'll get

Used to have a modified Mini about 15 years ago that would go off the clock. Only had 90mph on it though.
A 1.6 Mondeo has a 150mph speedo. Wonder if it will do it?

Christ, forgot for a min that you all were born with a natural knowledge of cars.
Guess us mere mortals can never compete with that
Everyone makes mistakes, I mean you all drive Subarus and some of you think that you are untouchable
