Default bluddy noisy

in an effort to reduce the oise in me scoob:
I spent almost an hour, sorting the boot out and applying rubber/foam stripping to the wooden blocks that the plywood boot floor is attached to and which lies on the metal boot floor

result? .....exactly the same ...the car crashes over bumps and bangs all the time
it aint the bushes as its just passed an MOT (although I admit a 14 yr old car could prolly do with new bushes to tighten it up)
any other thoughts? .....what is NORMALLY in place of the plywood floor???

......I'm gonna remove everything from the boot tomorrow and see how loud it is like that - in an efort to iolate the source

and then I'm gonna fit some sound deadening over the fuel pump to try and hush that up too

had an awful feeling shocks were gonna come up
I'll look into it (I wanna lower the car a bit too - just for looks, really)

and the budget is tight - I'm unemployed and the car is getting on a bit so I dont wanna plough money into it
