Which car gives you the greatest pleasure to beat a the lights.
Whether it be the hairdressers in their Audi TT's or Porsche Boxsters or even the &*^*^&*& in all BMW's.
Nb:However this may sound I'm not a stupid boy racer type.....well not always

hmm, lemme see, my faves so far...
Cov City football player in his Audi TT (had his girly in the car and was very very funny cos he got completely destroyed )
Porsche driver on friday looked horrified that a 'mere' Impreza could keep up (without hitting silly silly speeds).
Lax-Power Nova/RS Escort/Whatever crowd - usually get enough satisfaction wathcing them scream off, let em get on with it.

Got to be Audi TT drivers ... had a 225 up my **** (not literally you understand ) the other day, I had the wife in the car as did he. He was driving stupidly close so I kept opening my little baby up in second and third - left him every time much to his disgust. Then we came to the big Hertford roundabout on the A10 where he pulls up alongside staring across ... my other half told to me to 'burn him off' which I did in due course - nothing beats going from 0-30 in c. 1.5 seconds He was not amused!!!

Interesting one this as there's a couple of sets of lights on my journey home from work every night where some people go in the right hand turning lane and try to cut across back into the straight on lanes by speeding off the line when the lights change. I love being at the front of the straight on lanes when one of these people try this because they usually find themselves stranded - hahaha!
My favourite cars to do this to are everybody's friend the BMW's as they always seem to think they can give me a run for my money.
Owners of most other vehicles realise what a Scooby is and don't even try (the looks on some of them when they get to the front of the right hand turning lane to see a Scooby to their left is a picture), but BMW drivers - there's just no amount of education going to get through to them is there?
Regards,
tiggers.

yeh, be scared of M3's and M5's !!
Had a run in with an M3 Evo in my old WRX, it killed me - until the turbo had spooled up and then it was pretty much neck and neck until about 80mph...

I had a mildly tuned Golf GTI 8 valve (140 BHP ish, Magnex, k and N, chip, cam) in a roll on from about 20 a Boxster couldnt get past, the guy in it look well pissed off, took him till 90 mph to put a car length between us. 35 k versus about 35 quid, I think the fact there were no badges and a towbar helped as well.
Dont blokes look a bit strange in a Boxster, SLK and Audi TT

When I had my 300zx TT I had this Ferrari 348 pull up alongside me at the traffic lights.... (he was complete with ferrari hat and t-shirt..!). I completely smoked him!! He was none to amused when we got to the next set of lights - he shouted out through his window into mine.... "shame is Japanese and not Italian"... what a cheeky git..!

I get far more satisfaction implying I am up for it and then pulling away from the lights at a normal pace whilst they make complete ***** of themselves.
I am very happy with the size of my ***** you see.

Even better while the lights are still red jump the car forward a couple of feet then brake and watch the tw@ts who want a race nearly go across the red light
Works every time.

My step-dad was challenged whilst in his large exec type car by a friend of the family (classic boy racer!). He simply motioned for Ashley to reverse back a bit as he was ahead of him...Ashley reverses, lights turn green, Ashley's still goin' backwards...classic
Must try that next time someone fancies challenging Scoob

mattski2,
The beauty of living round Manchester is that it is invariably raining and when it's not it's drizzling so even M3's are conquerable from a standing start in the wet if you get it right.
On the open road though a well driven M3/M5 will be the quicker car against a standard UK Scoob at least IMHO anyway.

ha ha.......I've noticed that too.
Where I live nearly all the roads goin' to work are uphill......and because it's always raining here it gives me the upperhand......makes the others sounds like total donkeys when they wheelspin like hell!
