Ok guys done the EVO7 and STI7 test drive thing and the Scooby won. Got the money just need the car now. The dealerships today told me June / July delivery time. Thats no good cos my Scooby sold today and I need a car.
I have been offered a non prodrive demonstrator for £25K, its got 2,000 miles on the clock but I am unsure.
Any advice either about where to get another car sooner than June or about the demonstrator would be appreciated.

Dave,

you can get a Prodrive version much earlier than May/June, as there are still stocks of these being processed in the Uk just now. Next batch of standard ones isn't being built in the factory until March, so by the time they get shipped, clear customs, prepared and shipped to the dealers, it will be late May or June before delivery.

Give me an e-mail if you want more info.

Take the non Prodrive and go for the wolf in sheeps clothing.

Even if the demo car has had a hard life, get a discount. You still have the balance of the 3 year warranty.

Guys, thanks for the advice and replies. I left the demonstrator thing alone they wanted £25K for the non prodrive with over 2150 miles on the clock. Had a go today for further discounts or add ons and NO CHANCE.
However the good news is that Ian Litchfield came to the rescue and can get me a blue non prodrive for £23,500 in 4 weeks. My last MY00 was imported from Holland so this route does not phase me.
Mike - thought about the jap import 280bhp as well, spoke to Warrenders today, the insurance quote of £1200 phased me in relation to £580 with TESCO for the UK spec STI.
Think I have got what I am looking for thanks again guys.
