Has anyone else got this system Jap made . I know i asked these questions a while back but no joy. The system has a large stainless rear box with 5inch pipe. Just curious who its made by . Graham.

 

It is made by Tanabe - very good Japanese tuning company.

My 95 WRX has a G power Medalion system from the down pipe back,they make two types a mild steel system with stainless backbox or full stainless system the sound is a deep burble not as loud as say scooby sport backbox, the tail pipe is ace 130 mm oval and of a top quality finish
ps this is the main reason I bought the car.

Nice one Zero! its made by Tanabe thats for sure . Only difference with mine to the one on there website is mine has the same rear box. But i dont have the second silencer , just two areas between the rear box and the cat that are swollen. Looks like baffles ? or resonators?. All i know is the difference it made over the standerd system was incredable would be nice to know how many extra horses i am getting. Cheers Graham.

 

Yes Phil your right they make a lovely Burble especially with the rear windows open . Graham.

 

I had one on my 290bhp gti-r they are a very good exhaust.Hks super power flow filter with it will make good bhp gains.

 

Hi, just sold my MY98 STi4 which had the Tanabe G-Power Medalion on it and loved it. Nice deep and meaningful sound from the outside but not very loud inside.

Powerwise it pretty good, not a lot different from stock STi exhaust really except the noise Comparing it to the full scoobysport system it lacks the top end flow (probably due to the silencers) and is quieter at full belt, inside anyway

 

Think i,ll get the car on the rollers see what its knocking out . Already have a K+N panel filter this works well with the Hyper. Graham 95 WRX.
