Question Mud flaps, where's the best place to buy?

Hi,
When I had my 04 Scooby I looked around for the best place to buy mud flaps as wasn't willing to pay the ridiculous price for genuine Subaru ones. I eventually bought from Scott Lowe as was a good price and also good quality. Is this still the case or are there better buys nowadays?
Cheers, Toby

I think Scott Lowe are still the best flaps around. I know a guy who has the cheaper scoobyworld flaps and they look really good on his 02 STi

Had the PC ones previously. Were good. Then ordered the SL Carbon ones, they were sh!te, sent them back and ended up with the PC Kaylan WRC ones.

are these the ones? Mud Flaps SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STi NEW AGE on Mudflaps on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Feb-09 00:28:39 GMT)

I would have the pink logo though. Do you know if the fixings are the same as scott lowe and/or official subaru ones. Just that the car I'm getting already has flaps on, but they're red. Red on a blue Scooby Anyway, it would be better if I could use the same fitting so wouldn't have to drill any new holes.
Is there anyway of finding out where the flaps on the car were from?

Cheers, Toby

Couldnt tell you about the fittings as ive never had any others. All instructions and fixings come with the mud flaps.

Are these and the Performance ones good quality thick ones like Scott Lowe? I've seen some cheap ones on other Scoobs that are quite thin and flap about in the wind :-/

The Scoobyworld ones are ok for the look (had them on my old car) but they are "flappy".
Ideally the stiffer Kaylan ones are better and much better wearing.
I've got the genuine Subaru ones on my car which cost the earth (they came with the car thank God) and they really are tough. The Scott Lowe ones seem to be a great compromise.

As a matter of interest...

Does it matter if the bracket is between the mudflap and the car, not on top of the mudflap? What difference would that make?

I noticed mine last night are mudflap, bracket, wheelarch, not bracket, mudflap, wheelarch, like others. I think PS have fitted them wrong/differently.

Yep, got those and the kaylan are twice as thick and flex a lot less. 3x the price, but worth it IMO.

They look good, but prefer em with the Logo on. not a fan of red flaps on a blue car personally, the one I'm getting has red ones on and asked for them to be taken off and I'll flog em on ebay. Each to their own though :-)

Do the flaps mount OK on Type RAs? As they don't have the little skirts at the bottom.

Are they all the same shape - performance creations and Scott Lowe ?

I want some blue ones with STI in white.
