I'm thinking of buying this programme and would welcome some feedback from those that have this on how good it is/ user freindly etc. Fortunatley I can claim back through my company, but don't want to waste money.

A question for you.

Can I build a Customer base with locations and then just type in said destinations to find best route ?

Thanks

Steve.

Have used autoroute 2000 (+europe) and it is excellent for the amount that it costs.

Seem to remember that you could flag locations on the map - would have thought that these would be saved - but then again i'm not 100% sure. included street maps etc that was very accurate - even has my tiny close mapped in a small village. could search from just a street name and give you the list of possibles in towns/villages all over the country.

i would recommend it from experience - but then have tried none of the competitors products.

p.s. dingy - did you chek the speed variable settings - maybe you had them set for scooter speeds

Ive got it, and like it.
Yes you can add "map pins" for customers locations and that is then a place which you can start, finish or visit places.
You can also save this information in different files for diff people. Say you had 2 compnaies, each with different customers, you could save one set as company1 and so on.

I used Autoroute 2001 with Garmin GPS12 to navigate around France, Italy, Germany and Austria last summer. The street level details are fantastic but GPS sensor is refreshed only every 15sec! Missed my turn many times because of that...Also, there is no GPS trail on the map while you are moving which I liked in Autoroute '98.

Steve

I used Autoroute Europe 2000 to plan my French trip in '99. You can set way points easily, but the European version does not go down to street level in towns.

If you've got a laptop then I'd recommend Sony Streetmate. You can use it as a Route Planner on your desktop that is much better than MS Autoroute, AND as a Sat Nav system if you've got a laptop.

Cheers
