Default Are many of you spending on your Subaru in this current climate??

Just wondering if many of you/us were spending much on our cars?

I,d planned for a build etc in a few months but i think i,ll hold fire for a while tbh, seems to be worsening too with job cuts etc...

What,s your plans etc for your cars??

Si,

Agree 100% mate, i NEVER do any work to my car unless i have the pennies myself, i guess you appreciate it more then too.

Mind you, with an interest rate as low as it is i guess borrowing is an option for many, IF THE BANK will do it..

Sounds like the slippery re mortgage slope to me Pete

I think you do appreaciate it more when you save up first rather than borrowing, it makes you research and choose the items in more detail as you know you have the real cash to pass over oppossed to the easy spend plastic version

Hi Pete,

only managed to stall the once so far !

As for prices with loads coming from the Far East, 40 % price rises are to be expected, that's why i grabbed my Teins now.... on plastic (six weeks interest free !).

Eggy,

Sorry mate i have no interior pics at present..

BUT, i prefer the old dash if i,m honest, it almost feels, looks stronger than the face-lift does, just my opinion though..

Parts will depend on where the tuners get these supplied from - if its from Japan or US then I cannot see them dropping due to currency rates - probably prices going the other way! That said those tuners wanting to shift stock sat on their shelf may reduce their mark-ups so good time to cash in those parts.

Where you will see price cuts is on labour where there is room for being flexible

Hell yeah!

Full 2.5 conversion in my type R (which is what you were planning isn't it Pete?)

2.5 sti block, P1 heads, cometic gaskets, ARP studs, exedy paddle (£1500)
TD05-20G (£500)
Lateral modified injectors (£180)
Fuelab fuel pressure reg (£165)
Parallel fuel mod (£25 in parts and work by me)
Ported headers (ported by me)
Gaskets, filters and lubricants (£130)

Hopefully stick it in the car next weekend.

Doing all the spannering myself so that keeps the pice lower than it would be I guess.

Then it'll be paying out for a remap..
