Default classic wrx

how do you get the folding wing mirrors to work do all imports have these as this an import but dont know how to get them to work

It's the litle switch under the "electric mirror move thing" on the facia. It's usually set to the middle position (from memory), but clicking left makes them fold in, and right to fold out again. There is a way to do it automatically (when the ignition is switched on and off), but I can't find the post that explains how to change the wiring....

mine when i push it left it controls the direction of the mirror same on the right do you have to do it with engine of ignition on ect ect

Thats because you dont have folding mirrors. Dont think they were standard until at least '95, maybe '96.

You should be able to, they are pretty stiff though.

didn't wanna break them gutted they are not electric tho ;-( suppose im Lucky they are adjustable electronically

Sorry, I have misled you.....
Just looked in the car, and the button for folding the mirrors back is to the right if the joystick, not underneath.
The switch that you are refering to does indeed swap between the left and right mirrors.

the folding mirrors are not fitted to all the import classics. i think they were a revision for the 95 model year "C" series cars.
