Question

I have a 22B Type UK. It is based on an STI4 and is absolutely obsolete, has been since the introduction of the phase 2 engine and the STI5. Every review I've read makes it clear that the RB5 and P1 are much better cars. Many reviews rate the Evo6 as better than either of these too. So my car is way down the list, somewhere behind the Saxo I expect.
Clearly my car is awful, I can't believe I've still got it. I'd sell it, but of course it's worthless as it keeps getting out-rated by some new model. I guess I'll have to kill myself.
Strange thing though...I've owned a MY99 at RB5 spec. I do own a MY01 as well. I've driven P1's and Evo6 TME's, 911's and Integra's as well as 287bhp MY01's (Txs Scott )
Strangely, my car still makes me smile. I must be some kind of freak, but against everything I'm told by the driving press I still love my car. Somebody help me, I am sick and perverted.
Or should I start screaming that all car reviewers are *****? They are all wrong and should feel the same about cars as me. Only my opinion counts and it must be that I am sane and everyone else is mad. I know! I'll just be happy with my car and ignore what anyone else thinks, because it ain't relevant. Oh, I must be mad.

Cool

You hit the nail on the head when you say 'only my opinion counts', its your car, and its your tastes a car has to appeal to, in 'reality' the best car in the world is the one that presses your buttons.

(PS; I love yours m8, screw 'em all)

Chuck, in light of curing your madness and because I'm just a top bloke, I'll buy that old scrap heap from you. I want to be generous & pay you say 5K for it (I must be mad)

So you can finally afford that Saxo.

How's that ?

Chuck,

you're right you know - I have driven all of these cars, P1, Sti V, WRX '01, Sti VII and yours - and it is $hite and outdated as you say. I mean I would just scrap it if I were you. Certainly don't bring it to any meets anymore as we don't want outdated rubbish in car community.

See ya later,

Trout
