V-ltd..hmmm
Just looking on auto trader and found this v-ltd:
Auto Trader UK - SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI TYPE R "V LIMITED" RARE VERSION 4 FRESH IN FROM JAPAN NUMBER 264 OF ONLY 1000 MADE!!
Looking at the under bonnet picture the inlet manifold is unpainted, this has got me thinking if this is the original engine or has it been replaced? im thinking of going to have a lookieee.. any ideas?

Well, it doesnt appear to have DCCD, (you can tell by looking at the dash), but it does have the roof scoop and the manual aerial so, it is a V-Limited, but its not an STi V-Limited. As far as I know, Subaru made a normal WRX V-Limited (without DCCD), and an STi V-Limited....(which comes with DCCD)
The car in the advert is a normal WRX V-Limited

There was deffo a version 3 WRX V-Limited..... but didn't they drop the WRX V-Limited for the 4 series and just make the STi version?
Now where's that huge list of models that appears on here from time to time LOL

Yeap it is V4 WRX Type R V-LTD (non STI) the car has been on ebay for a while and i contacted the seller informed him it was not an STI so he is obviously mis-advertising it on purpose.

A rare car.......always sold as the 2 door ra and due to the applied model code listed on most sites as a "special edition 2 door ra".........But Subaru marketed it as the Wrx type r v-limited.

See my post number 6, after looking at the stuff I have at home they did carry over the V-limited to the version IV in WRX RA and R models. Sorry
It had low spoiler, Aircon, folding mirrors, special decals etc and was a rare car as rooferman has pointed out in post 11
It's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it

There was one in the Wales section which was very well looked after and a 2nd car to the owner who was rebuilding a 22B so hardly shoe string budget.
I believe he struggled to get someone to buy it at £4500 and that was before the recent financial meltdown. If it was 4500 I'd consider it.
I would like to know if its any cheaper to insure than an STI Type R. If not then I would think you'd be better off buying the STI version. If it was cheaper to insure then it would probably be a good base for a project of some kind - blue RA seats, revised bumper and rear spoiler and you'd have a WRC replica for alot less money.
