Harvey does 2 models, the cheaper one being about £60.

thanks chaps, I'm running a standard ECU, remap and supporting mods to 340bhp, I think an electronic one would be best just dont know which one, budget to about £150/£200. The ideal would be a full simtec install but cant stretch that far just now

I can do you a Hybrid SBC-D-SE for £145 plus £25 if we install. Very easy to install yourself. It has a high and low boost setting and comes with its own quality three poort boost solenoid valve. Real value for money.
As much as I want to sell you one however you say :
a boost controller to help get better mpg for the weekly commute,
Surely all you need to do is exercise some restraint with your right foot and develop some light footed techniques. The boost controller will do exactly that, ie control boost with the option of two precisely controlled boost settings. The strategy to improve fuel consumption via electronically limitting boost is a bit heavy handed(footed) if you see what I mean.

thanks Harvey, I've had an email from Bob R saying pretty much the same thing ..... might be better to invest in some gauges so I can monitor driving off boost instead, oh and get a lighter right foot ..!

I was under the impression that I could plug a boost controller in, turn the boost off or right down and drive it like a 'normal' or un-turbocharged car and achieve a higher MPG ... ?

I tend to average 250 miles before I fill her up again, (I never wait for the light to come on so have probably got another 20 miles ish) that is a mix of average driving and the odd bit of fun, I think that is fairly typical MPG. The best i have had is 300 miles (before I filled her up) on a long motorway run but read somewhere on here about a guy who gets around 350 miles by using a boost controller which is of interest .. !

I've got an AVCR Boost controller with high / low settings.........I tried the low setting once (1 bar) but never again

On the road I put on Radio 2 and pootle along with the rest of the traffic and ASDA lorries .........safe in the knowlege that if I have to overtake something on the A69 I have 1.5bar plus boost and some methanol injection to see me back in the left lane

Harvey sums it up in post 8 really...... and he's selling things LOL
