AIUI, search is a processor intensive process. It's easy to make search the target of a DOS attack...

Webmaster (1 that is) Do tell us why, the serach has to be back on , plus while I'm in full swing why is it u cannot click on the smilies enabled link when typing this message intstead of knowing all the text.

i-club.com (the american Scoobynet) has more forums and the search works - very fast too. I wonder how they sort it out
