Are bugeye and blobeye STi's the same ?
Are bugeye 2002 and blobeye 2003 STi's the same under the skin ?
Do they drive the same or was the blobeye stiffened up ?

I'm sure I've heard rumours that the bugeye's had better pistons, and therefore stronger engines?
Could be talking nonsense though.
I think there are some suspension changes, as I think part no's are different, ARB mounting points, a few other subtle changes. The ECU is different between WRX's, not sure about the STI.

If OP is talking UK models the blob steering rack is a bit quicker maybe different LSDs. Also recall pistons are stronger in the bug.

According to people on here the bug sti's had the strongest engine of any car in the world. Then in the blob sti they put pistons with a strange name in that weren't really forged.
