Disks and pads? Or a completely different set up?

If you can stretch to 400-500 you could get yourself some brembos with disks/pads secondhand. Then sell yours for £150 or so, which makes it a £250-£350 upgrade!

Godspeed do a nice setup for about 1100 quid, depends on your wheels but i had a 308mm setup on my first scoob, fantastic stopping power
The gold brembo's will require the correct size alloy wheels to fit behind, so it may also cost you the price of a set.
look here at High Performance Brakes - Supplying AP and Brembo brake kits for road and motorsport use (the red brembo setup)

I personaly wouldn't go for EBC discs, mine warped, so have many others!
Black diamond discs are good, and their predator pads are good too.

Originally it cost me 650 quid for a second hand set (calipers, discs, bells and pads), then i upgraded the pads to the mintex 1144's and a set of ap discs.
I think that someone like Ian could sort you out the floating bell setup for a good price
