Default Bought car - no help needed :)

A few off you might have seen this in for sale. Well i glad to say i Bought it.

Rung Vigs yesterday got abit excited and wanted it straight away so at 4.30 i got on a train from leeds to woking i met him at train station and could tell he was a decent guy and from saying hello to car being in my name about 3 minutes lol didnt test drive it or check it over as id gone blue as train was early so waited there for an hour lol.

Any way drove car back from woking to leeds full throttle all the way home as the misses said i had to be back by the count down. arrived home at 11.53 in short the car is stunning. it didnt miss abeat and can not fault it
and thought id write this up to say thank you to vigs and his misses for going out there way and that there are some really good honust people selling cars on here so dont be put off (too much) by other threads!

I bought my current Scoob from someone on here. I had to travel from Darlington to London to view it, and was therefore quite concerned about the whole thing. The sale went smoothly and I've had the car nearly two years without a single problem. It's a shame there's so much mistrust about private sales, as I much preferred buying this way to dealing with slimy, dodgy car dealers.

Glad everything went ok with the sale. I done the same thing about 2 years ago, no test drive, long train journey, but 2 days days later the thing was off to be broke. My own fault but when I saw it I just had to have it, put me off scoobies so bought a 1.8T Golf, until now.

It would be a shame to brake the car if there are no problems with it.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

It seems he's just bought the car to break it for parts. A real shame, and I bet the previous owner will be a bit disappointed with its fate.

Ahaaa. The 'slow wife button' is actually to take the edge of the vehicles performance (on automatic WRXs only), for use in snow and ice: beyond that I was lost...

If you brought the scooby for your misses, then surely she knew how fast they are if you already got one?????

If it drives like you say then what a waste

Just of of interest whats it like driving an auto version? Is the box up to it?
