Default A question i never thought i'd be asking......

Well, been out in the car today, and have basically realised that i am not enjoying the driving experience anymore, so i've had thoughts of selling up, car is yr2000 turbo, with tdo5 turbo and tek3'd ecu fitted, newage wrx top mount intercooler, K&N57i induction kit, full decat and doubtless various other mods most of which i've forgotten about, engine wise anyway...
Eibach lowering springs on original struts, Godspeed 335mm brake kit that uses the original calipers, braided hoses, and 17' rota alloys, whiteline rear antirollbar, and solid rear links......
The car is spotless bodywork wise, and has a BMW rear lip fitted on the boot lid instead of the usual ironong board, all rear badges have been done away with, the only badge on the outside is the one on the grill...
Interior is black leather, done by myself, i'm an upholsterer by trade, so it's not a crappy diy job..!!!

The car has been owned by me from NEW, and has basically covered all of it's 53ish k miles with me at the wheel.....

It's been garage for the past 5 yrs or so, and always kept clean, anyne who knows the car will vouch for that.....

Really not sure what it might be worth, it has in the past been damaged lightly, but has been repaired properly, and it's almost impossible to tell......

Yours thoughts as to value please..........

Ron...

Ps, just cos i'm asking this does not mean i AM selling it, it's just an option at present.....

Really nice looking car you have with very tasteful mods.

I wouldn't like to put a price on it but is certainly looks a genuine car.

I know how you feel Ron,I haven't drove mine for about 3 months and keep thinking about selling it as I do so much other stuff now and rarely get the time and I have recently bought a Forester as a first car as we go everywhere with the dogs. However I am due to drive it tomorrow so I will remember why I want to keep it.
Hope you are keeping well and good luck for what you decide to do.
Regards
Dean

Dean, i can't really believe i'm even consideringit, i always thought i'd be buried in it, but i drove it today, and found it hard noisey and crashy... must be getting old eh!!!
Time will tell what happens.....

SSS, fitting the cooler was actually pretty easy, the hardest part was the dumpvalve recirc pipe, which wouldn't be an issue if you went vta......
I sprayed it black so it looked standard.....

It must be an age thing Ron as I find I now agree with the wife about an automatic is nice to drive and the heated seats are the best thing since sliced bread .Who wants to buy a Spec c,hehe.
My new year's resolution is to drive the car more to justify keeping it.

Not sure on price, but that's a nice car, sure you will, but I'd think very long & hard before making any decisions, try something else, may make you realise what you've got lol

Speaking from experience

I find it helps to drive a 1.4 Peugeot 306 in the week. That really helps you appreciate your Scooby.
It is a cracking example mate.

if u are not enjoying driving that, what would u be happy driving ??
try driving a diesel van for a week and then go back to the scooby at the weekend (which is what i have to do) -- u will love it (the scooby i mean...)

and its not an age thing either (my pension is beckoning !!!! )

I'm old and driving a few miles a week in an LDV mini-bus full of "special" kids is a fine reality check !

Go out and try something you'd consider as a replacement, then take her out for a spin !

You'll come around soon enough !

Lovely car by the way !

cheers for all the comments, i drive a rover diesel estate during the week for work, and crazy as it sounds i prefer driving that.... daft i know, i have a discovery that i use for offroading thats nice to drive aswell..... the scooby is about 320bhp, i'm sure it's not a power thing, i'm not even fussed about driving it fast anymore, hence my reasoning that its an age thing..LOL.... maybe i should do a trackday to regain the faith..!!

Ron, you may just need something a little more hardcore you can get fed up of a car, sometimes a slower car can feel nicer, if you have a garage for instance something like a westfield may be better for you?

me to mate, i have put 70k on my car now and have had thoughts of buying an audi diesel

having the missus drive me home (hic) on christmas eve quite late on, i commented that the lack of traffic at the point used to be how it was when i first got the scooby, and that nowadays you just can not use them properly

bought a similair car (although a wagon) in July -- had done a few more miles etc and more owners
I paid £2800 -- so I would think yours would prob sell at that price -- considering the world economy has gone down the plughole since then

in any case it would only cost you a £25 advert to find out -- I suspect that if you put the price at what you think its worth you will get NO calls whatsoever

I reckon you may get £3500 to £3750 if you get lucky and find someone that wants a nice low mileage classic!
