Default Anyone heard of J Performance cars?

in the midlands.....

Everytime i go on pistonheads these days they seem to be advertising loads of Subaru exotica and all of them say sold via pistonheads

what is the point of this, it looks to me like a setup for a scam. Even if it is legit what is the point showing these cars as sold

check out pages 4 and 5 impreza sti

Wasnt having a pop at them, just sure i have seen some of those car pics reposted a few times, I guess they just use them to advertise themselves and show the sort of cars they can get hold of.

I too have used them.
Bought my 08 Hawkeye STi form them in October.
I had no worries or concerns...
I guess they do it to let people see what cars they have sold so if your looking for some thing similar you know where to look!
They do seem to be selling a lot of nice looking Hawkeyes.

and the fact they pay the premium cost at discount means that if you don't as soon as you list your car your on page 22 or something so it sort of forces you to also pay £7.

I know some people do searches but if you don't I can't see people trawling to page 22 to see a newly listed car

Also gotta give a big for Jan and Sam.

Bought my Spec C off them only a couple of weeks ago.
Just honest guys trying to make a living.

Nothing to worry about as said before they leave the ads on there to show there previous business.
The're more used to selling more expensive car like 911's and ferraris etc but as times are hard at the mo you can imagine that there isn't many buyers in that market at the moment.

I think that may have been the Spec C that nearly tempted me although I'd only had the cash on me for the STi PPP that I bought + my Mini Cooper S p/x !

As someone else said - nice car you got there

Default J Performance

I'm just about to complete a sale with them. They seem very legit and friendly, they have gone out of their way for me. I'll be sure to post up my experience, but must say at this point I'm happy to hear from other people who've had good experiences.

It is pistonhead's problem as it's them who's allowing that, not those advertisers imho... just like gumtxee!

Just thought I'd add something to this.

I bought my '06 Sti from these guys and they were nothing but professional. The car was described correctly over the phone, they picked me up from the station and they took their time and were pleasant and not pushy.

The car sold itself and I had no problems. They also had a silver grey MR there which I had a mooch around being an ex Evo owner. That car was in tidy condition as well.

I think they get some nice stock which goes quickly. If you leave a car up but mark it as sold it's extra advertising. Not everything is a scam - that's what the phone is for

So, no complaints which is more than can be said for the main dealer in Exeter who are quite frankly a shower of .......
