Default Anyone know harry007

bought a fpr for £65 off him, supposed 2 be high end japanese brand and red turns up to be a universial mcgill motorsport and blue. that u can buy on ebay for £26.75.

pm'd him, but no reply, so iv been done out of £38 by another member.

payed via paypal, any ideas on what to do about this.

not nice being tucked up by a fellow scooby net member.

not only that, after i had paid i was offered a sard one for same price, so bit gutted now.

Out of interest, because all he does is come on here to sell stuff does he not need to be a trader? Just that the only time i see his name is in the for sale section?

hmmm its a shame i have just gone and done my 1st purchase from here and hope it all goes ok which i think it will but a system of confirmed address or credit debit card details and feedback would be much better. similar to the ebay way of creating a selling account

Alot of his for sale threads were deleted as we suspected he was trading (how many brake calipers and Apexi FCs does one need to sell to be a "private" seller ). I've just done a quick check and noted there are a few threads that have been posted that slipped the net.

We have previously tried to contact him via PM to explain his trading activities and AFAIK we had no reply.

His account is still active; was last on-line today at 19:13. If he hasn't replied to your PMs he must be ignoring them.

Unless he pops up out the blue and decides to explain himself, I advise this user is NOT a private seller; either a bedroom trader or scammer. On that basis I urge you to perform a paypal dispute.

I won't ban his account yet, as this will prevent him sending/recieving PMs (although from what you say, it seems he's ignoring you anyway ). But I will put up a note in the mod's section.

AL

There is a total of 13 sets at £100 a pop, so a tidy sum!

Hope you get it sorted bud, ive just been done on S--C, its only for £30. I do have his address 200 miles away from me, and a lot of people have have picked stuff off him at his house but I just cant get my money back. What I bought he ' sent' recorded and got lost.

Only wish he was closer because he would get a knock on his door..........

mods, cant you just stop him posting in the for sale section???

a quick search for his posts indicates he was selling a set of carbon mirrors in june 2008 as he no longer had the car and didnt have any use for them.
since then has he bought another 12 sets???? lol

as for the other stuff he sells??? he obviously breaks cars, which is one thing, but as for knocking people.... this is something that should be top of the list on here to sort out, instead of banning people for non PC'ness or banter/trolling, IMHO.

Before the lynch mob starts jumping to incorrect conclusions;

The GB has only "just" finished.

So unless M535I says any different, this GB may still go through ok. Basically its waiting for Haroon to explain or get back to him.

We have - but due to the suspicion he was a trader; not a scammer (as of November, with exception of a set of calipers posted 9th Dec)which got missed). We are not going trawl through and to dig back 6 months to find every dead FS thread he has posted and check its legitimacy; anything older than a month has fallen down to page 10 and considered dead IMO, so unless they been recently bumped back to the top, they will be left to rot.

Banny, so sorry to hear this fella. But honestly your very lucky it being a small sum. i know it;s a matter of principal too especially as you missed out on the sard.

FYI I got done over £575 for a knocking engine.....and never even got it in the end....Paypal dispute refunded £20 as apparently this is all they could recover...unfortunately paypal don't guarantee 100% REFUNDS outside of EBAY....maybe they should tell everyone who uses them that they only guarantee if you use their service on ebay.

If paypal don't recover your funds then try speaking to your card company as this is the route i am taking with the shameful member of SN.

"Scoobycraig" aka CJ Developments

Hopefully see you later today Banny.

Baly

I am still hopeful as the groupbuy only finished a few days ago but you are correct it is a matter of prinicipal! I am not fussed about the money but just want the mirrors and if I dont get them alternative action will be taken.

Yeah hopefully see you later, stuck at work at the mo and not looking forward to the drive down
