For the sake of improving the internals, chassis to cope with the power and the work involved you're probably better off buying a uk turbo for a couple of grand.

It's a question which comes up quite often but the general consensus is that it would cost FAR more to convert a sport than to buy an Impreza turbo in the first place

my advice is don't turbo convert a sport its not worth it at all and it will prob's have problems aswell, not worth your money or time, should just buy a turbo to start with, Thats what i think anyways lol.

If you guys have a look on www.imprezasport.net you will find info for this on there, it's not easy and the guys that have tried it probably will say they wish they had not.
Brakes, suspension, ecu with turbo loom etc etc there is a lot more to it than meets the eye... for one the sport does not have a rear anti roll bar fitted so that needs modding for a start and that's a small one.
This is not an easy task reasearch first gents is my best advise

What a waste of money!
It'll end up costing more than just selling your sport and buying a turbo to begin with, because you'll need engineers reports to insure it, and you'll need to insure as a highly modified car and you'll get loaded up. Plus you'll be a target for the police with the engine number conundrum.
